Academy

DDA

The Disability Darts Academy (DDA) was established in November 2021 to promote the Sport of Darts particularly to children and young people with impairments who are the future of the sport. The Academy recruits boys and girls aged 7 to 18 years to participate in darts activities and tournaments.

Coaching sessions

We hold coaching sessions weekly and attend competitions locally and nationally representing the town. We ensure all our Coaches and Volunteers are fully DBS checked. It currently has over 20 students and this is growing every month. All funds collected go back into the academy by paying for equipment, trips, competitions, and general running costs.

Development

In addition to coaching and mentoring our members, DDA is dedicated to ensuring each member improves and develops as a darts player. This is why the DDA Director analyses each member’s stats every 8 weeks and produces tables and graphs to show if members are improving or if more coaching is required in certain areas. We are committed to identifying talent within the sport.
